Find Peace.

Daily Devotion:

The Bible reminds us that there will be trials and tribulations.  We are not immune from these things, however God will shower us with His peace. Peace to remain calm during the storm.  Peace to hear quietness even when the trials seem so loud.  Peace that surpasses all understanding in knowing that your heavenly Father is with you. Find your peace today!

Mark 4:39, "When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Silence! Be still!" Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm."

Are You Giving of Your 3 T's?

Daily Devotion:

 

Many times when you think of the word Tithe you think of 10% of your financial earnings.  While we always want to show God our faithfulness by giving back to Him financial.  God is also calling for so much more.  We have learned it as "The 3 T's." God is asking for a tenth of your- Time, Talent & Tithe.  

God has placed spiritual gifts and talents inside of you.  How are you using them for the Kingdom of God? God wants you to spend much needed, devotional time with Him.  How much time have you spent with God today?  

As we grow in our faith journey, there is always so much more to learn.  Consider the 3 T's and give back to God what He so richly gives to you.  

• Share in your Time with God
• Give of your Talents 
• Be a cheerful giver of your Tithe

 

Deuteronomy 12:5-6, "But you are to seek the place the LORD your God will choose from among all your tribes to put his Name there for his dwelling. To that place you must go; there bring your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, what you have vowed to give and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks."

Stop Bringing Scraps to Your Inner Circle

Daily Devotion:

 

Today, give your best self to those that matter. From the book, "Present Over Perfect" by Shauna Niequist, she recommends that we re-examine our top priorities in this simple exercise.

First, imagine you have an inner circle filled with family & your closets friends. Then, in your outer layer, fill this with acquaintances and coworkers.  Many times, we put our best foot forward at our jobs and out in the community.  Studies have shown we check our emails 11 times an hour.  We say, "Yes" to every request.  We smile.  We are kind.  We attend and support everyone around us.  When we return home, to the ones who matter the MOST to us, we are exhausted.  Many times we are giving scraps to the ones who matter the most to us.  Let's switch our circles and bring our best selves to those who matter the most to us.  

What's On Your Morning Pages?

Daily Devotion:

 

In your morning devotion, let your thoughts flow freely for God, "On Your Morning Pages." Wake up early, in a quiet space with God, find paper and/or a journal.  Then, let your pen go. Allow for thoughts, concerns, thankfulness, prayer requests and your innermost thoughts land on your "Morning Pages."  God will receive every word.  Your load will feel lighter as your enter the day ahead. Take it ALL to God, FIRST on your "Morning Pages."

Why Give a Discount, You're Worth Much More!

It doesn't matter how much dirt you have on your hands.  You still hold value in God's eyes.  Know your worth through Christ & stop discounting yourself to others.  

Psalm 139: 13-16, "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Fix Your Focus on Jesus

Daily Devotion:

I will look to the hills from where comes my help, knowing my help cometh from the Lord.(Psalms 121: 1-2) In life, there's so many distractions that hinder our focus.  Distractions like, jobs, family issues, toxic relationships, mismanagement of time, and financial struggles, etc. Today, block out all distractions and focus on the cross. No matter what storm you're in, keep your eyes focussed on God. Understand that He's our strength, our Guide, and our Foundation.

Hebrews 12:2, "We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne."

It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.

Let Your Light Shine

Daily Devotion: 

I can recall growing up in church singing a song that said "This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine...every where I go, I'm going to let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!!!!" God has commissioned us all to let the light of Christ shine from the inside out in all of our lives. How are you projecting the Light of Christ to others?

Matthew 5:16, 'In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Today, allow the Light of our Lord and Savior to shine through you, that others may see the love of God in everything you do. Let your light shine bright.

You Can't Control the Uncontrollable

Daily Devotion:

"Worry" is your enemy.  It's a consistent negative thought sent your way to bring you down, frustrate you, and torment your mind.  Worry tries to defeat you before you even get a chance to fight. In many cases, constant worry will suffocate you by what hasn't even happened yet. Do not allow for worry to sneak into your mind.  

Luke 12:29-30, " And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it."

Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.
