2. Make Yourself Available to God. You can't send God to voicemail or put Him on airplane mode. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58

3. Consult Him in Every Decision That You Make. Are you really praying?  Psalms 118: 8, Jeremiah 29:11-14

4. Be Obedient. Why do we get so anxious in wanting our Blessing right now? Proverbs 3:5

5. Renew Your Mind. Wake up & be on fire for God. Proverbs 16:1-3, Phil 4:13

6. Know That You Are a Winner. Romans 8:31-39

When you first wake up go on a date with God. When you get dressed, put on God.  He's your best accessory to conquer the day ahead.

Why Praying is Important

In speaking with a girlfriend recently she cried about now being able to pray to God in months.  She was so scared to pray to Him because she felt she had abandoned Him and walked away.  She was embarrassed that God would be angry with her.  

In this prayer devotion we detail why it's important to pray to God.

Old School vs New School Bible Study

It's the battle between Old School & New School who will win?  

We are all in a spiritual warfare of good versus evil.  Even though God has forgiven us and we have been made new, many of us still struggle with the "old me" rearing it's ugly face from time to time.  How many times have you snapped with a little road rage?  When was the last time you flipped on someone for pushing you to far?  Was is this week you lost it because of your kids?  What will it take to keep you walking in the light of Jesus and constantly maintaining the "new" better version of you?

A Man After God's Own Heart

Today men joined together for our monthly Men's Bible Study.  Guest speaker Dr. Michael Figgers shares David's walk in the bible and reflects how men fight with the same struggles and carry the same anointing.

Today Dr. Figgers examined the heart of who David was in the bible.  He wasn't the strongest of his 7 brothers and he wasn't the best looking but He was chosen and anointed by Jesus.  This is the same thing for you- You may not be the best but you have been chosen by God.  

Characteristics of David:

Psalms 91:1 & 2
David trust God and was patient.  We have to remember to wait on the Lord.

Psalms 27:13
He was a strong leader and brave warrior.
Are you walking in faith or fear today?

David was a worshipper.  How much time do you give to God?  

1st Samuel 16:23 & 2nd Samuel 6:5
David was Anointed and Gifted.  We all are called by God and given spiritual gifts.  There are things you can do that I can't.  You have to accept you calling and walk into it.

1st Samuel 11:2-5
David was a man- who still had to deal with trouble in his flesh.  What are you struggling with today?  What weakens your spirit?- Women.

2nd Samuel 12:13 & Psalms 89: 1-2
He understood God's Mercy & Grace.  God wants to bless you.

David understood the value of a brother.  We are not meant to do life alone.  This is what we are creating with Stolen Lunches Bible Study for Men- a community of men who can be each others accountability partners.  We can pray together, laugh together, we can be transparent with each other and keep one another in line.  Who is your accountability partner?  You NEED one.

In today's bible study our guest speaker, Minister Laura Waters taught us how to open the gift that God placed inside of us:

God has placed a special, extraordinary, unique package inside of you.  He is calling you to open and unravel the wrapping.

Step 1 Removing the Bow- Removing any and everything that is in your way. 

Step 2- Open the Package- Take the first step.  It's purposely made only for you.

Step 3- Give it away- Let the world experience you.

God has placed something inside of you. 

With every pull of your extraordinary thread He was revealing to you all the things that make you YOU.  We need to treasure what God has placed inside of us.  

Choose this day to move forward with God.  We are Christ's ambassadors- There are people waiting on your to unwrap your gift.

* Removing the bow means getting rid of:  Fear of Failure, Money, Excuses, Yourself!

We all have fears when God is calling us to MORE.  When God is calling you it will require enormous sacrifice.  With God we have to lose control and follow His lead. 

Let our faith in God to lead the way.  He will be there.  Fear NOT.  

* Opening your package is symbolic of accepting what God wants to do in and through you.

You have a choice to accept it or not, but no one else can open up your package but you.

Sometimes we say to God, "I know what you said Lord, but I thought..... "

Often times we know what God is saying to us but we have to let our faith in God propel us forward. Not fear.

If you allow God to lead you what will happen? Stepping out in faith-- things and people will come out of no where to help you bring your calling to fruition.

* This gift is yours to give away.  Share the gift.  As each of you have received the gift- Give it away.  

People are in need of your unique and special package.

Let our faith outweigh our fear.

Taste and see what God has for you.  You are special and unique.

What God has placed in you has a need. RELEASE THE GIFT SO THE WORLD CAN EXPERIENCE WHAT GOD HAS PLACED IN YOU.  The world is waiting.

God chooses our family members but when it comes to life, God leaves it up to us to choose our friends.  In this episode we challenge you to reach out to five of your closes friends.  Who are they?  Why do you call them your friends? What does the bible say about friendship?

Yes, really "FlyTy".  We are on air personalities with a lot of awesome personality to share with you.  One special secret about us is we both absolutely love the Lord.  We desire to have a deeper relationship and we love sharing stories, teaching & preaching the word of God.  We are not perfect by any means but we believe "Lovin God is Dope" and we want to share our walk with you.

Our calling for the Lord is to speak His name in everything we do.  We have launched a nonprofit called, "Stolen Lunches".  It started as a small bible study setting with 8 ladies who decided to give up a lunch break to be fed by God.  Years later we are now a global bible study community.  Now leading virtual bible studies for women, men and married couples.  We have prayer groups and retreats, with a dream to launch Stolen Lunches bible study community for kids very soon.  We are all servants for Christ with the passion to be better in our faith walk.

In today's bible study episode we randomly kicked off our first video/ podcast bible study in our home together, yikes! We didn't really have any idea what we were doing.  As you listen you will see our son Cameron walk into the room and our dogs jump in our laps, we're totally not professional enough for this.  One thing is for certain, the word is clear and our purpose is genuine.  God laid on our hearts to discuss what it is to have a purpose and what if feels like when you're walking in your purpose.  I dare you to listen.

We ask that you give us grace as you listen because as I mentioned, it is our first time launching in this capacity.  We make a firm commitment to get better as we grow.
