You may ask yourself, "Why am I going through these things?"  However, your mess will be your message and your test will become your testimony.  Things may look bad in your life now but God has purpose for your pain.  

Stop telling God how big your problems are and start telling your problems how big your God is.  Roman 8:28, "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

Be a Witness to Others

The best way to witness to others is through your actions!  Do you show up to work on time? Or are you early for that matter? Do you do your job with excellence?  Do you speak life and love over others, or do you find yourself gossiping?  

As others watch your every move, show them that Christ lives within you.   Show love and give grace to all.  This is the absolute best way to witness to someone who does not know God. John 13:35, "Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples."

Focus on the Blessings

Even if you're in the midst of a storm, please believe that God is still showering blessings upon your life.  The only reason why you think nothing good is happening in your life, is because you have chosen to only look at the bad. Fix your focus.

Today, fix your focus on the blessings.  Trust me, they're there! Mediate on gratefulness that's in your heart.  Give your time, attention, thoughts and actions only to those things that are good. Phil 4:8.

I'm just thankful for everything, all the blessings in my life, trying to stay that way. I think that's the best way to start your day and finish your day.

Stay Connected to God

Just as you charge up your cellphone, laptop or ipad, stay connected to God just as tightly.  You may have a charger at home near your bed.  You might even have a charger in your car or in your bag.  Stay charged and connected to God too!

The greatest relationship is the one you have with God.  So, stay connected to Him.  Stay filled up with His word and consistently stay prayerful. This is how you will fight all battles.  This is how you stay prepared. Romans 8:35.

So if you stay ready, you ain't gotta get ready,

Are You Living or Just Existing?

There is purpose inside of you!  If you are unsure of your purpose, it's quite alright.  Simply, think about what excites you the most.  What are your passions?  What do you love?  What is your heart's desire?  Your purpose will be found in these answers.  

Also, remember that following your purpose does not necessarily mean quitting your job.  You can walk in your purpose in your current season.  For example, if your purpose is to help others. How are you helping people at your job now?  

God created YOU for a reason.  Be open to the spirit in deciphering what that calling is.  There is purpose inside of you.  Walk in it!

I truly believe that everything that we do and everyone that we meet is put in our path for a purpose. There are no accidents; we're all teachers - if we're willing to pay attention to the lessons we learn, trust our positive instincts and not be afraid to take risks or wait for some miracle to
come knocking at our door.

Life & Death is in the Power of the Tongue

Protect Your House

Your mind is like a house.  You need to protect it 24/7.  Bolt lock the doors and set the alarm because the devil is lurking outside looking for a way to get in.  His evil plan is to whisper thoughts of doubt, worry, insecurity and fear into your mind. If he slides in through a cracked window or an open door, over time you may find yourself depressed and hopeless.

Today, protect your house.  Guard your mind with the word of God. Guard your heart by staying in prayer and constant devotion.  Keep the devil and his evil schemes out of your mind. They don't belong here! 

Be a force of love as often as you can and turn away negative thoughts whenever you feel them surface.

Are You a Giver or a Taker?

Sometimes, we are so focussed on ourselves that we miss the true meaning of life. God created you to be a blessing to others.  It's that simple!

God gave His only Son to die for our Sins.  The greatest gift that you can give back to God is what you do with your life.  Today, take your focus off of you, your setbacks, and your shortcomings.  Instead, look around, who can you bless right NOW?

Where is Your Faith?

When times are tough and there seems to be no way out, where is your faith?  When your circumstances look grim, where is your faith?  When all you keep hearing are "No's" where is your faith that God will supply your "Yes?"

When you go through the happy, fun-loving season of life it's easy for us to proclaim our faith in God.  But, where is your faith when the seasons turn dark?  Faith is not FAITH until it's tested.
Stand firm on your faith today.  Believe that God will pull you through.  There is nothing He can't handle.

Daily Devotion: Encourage Yourself

Do you feel the dark cloud over you today?  Are you walking into that heaviness of life? Do you feel like throwing in the towel? The best sermon you can ever listen to is the one you have to preach to yourself.  You ARE the child of the Most High God and He Loves YOU!

Speak life and love over your situation.  Speak words of prosperity, joy and peace.  Sometimes you're the only one, so encourage yourself.
 

Our heavenly Father understands our disappointment, suffering, pain, fear, and doubt. He is always there to encourage our hearts and help us understand that He's sufficient for all of our needs. When I accepted this as an absolute truth in my life, I found that my worrying stopped.
