It's Time to Play Offense
Sunday Nov 27, 2016
Sunday Nov 27, 2016
Daily Devotion:
Many of us are stuck on the defense. Always on guard, and constantly in protective mode. It's like we're fearful of what we may lose, so we never try to win. Yes, there is a season to be on the defense and yes, we must stay covered by the armor of God. Just don't get stay in defensive mode forever.
There's an offensive side to life that must be played as well. Today, it's time to run the ball with confidence knowing that the battle is already won. Keep expectancy in your heart that your Father is your Lord and Savior. Be a giver of all things, and pray before you say or do anything as offensive tactics. Let's win this!
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

God's Got This!
Tuesday Nov 22, 2016
Tuesday Nov 22, 2016
Many times we believe in God and think we're walking in strong faith, however when times get weary we jump in the driver's seat to take control. As if, we don't trust in God to work it out on our behalf. Today, you're reminded to stay in the backseat. God's got this!
No matter what season you're facing in your life, trust that God has a plan for you. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."
-If you believe in God, then believe in Him-
I believe if you keep your faith, you keep your trust, you keep the right attitude, if you're grateful, you'll see God open up new doors.

What are you "Thankful" for?
Tuesday Nov 22, 2016
Tuesday Nov 22, 2016
Take a few moments to mediate on the gratefulness which exudes you. Ponder and dance to the simplicities of God's blessings. Look around you. Take it all in. In your stillness, smile and say, "God I thank You for____________."
2 Corinthians 9:11 says, "Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God."
If every moment is sacred, and If you are amazed and in awe most of the time when you find yourself breathing and not crazy, then you are in a state of constant thankfulness, worship and humility.

We all have people in our lives that we pray for on a daily basis. Today, let's take the time to pray for that one special person in your life that you wish to see have a relationship with Christ. Maybe it's your mom, brother, or closest friend. Who is this person that immediately pops up in your mind? Let's speak with expectancy in our heart for God to move mightily in their lives today.
Right now, wherever you are, stop down and pray for this one special person. Say a prayer for God to move in their lives. Pray for them to fall in love with Christ like never before. Pray for a beautifully, strong relationship to brew, that will change their lives for the better, all for the glory of God.
My mother was a Sunday school teacher. So I am a byproduct of prayer. My mom just kept on praying for her son.

Conviction vs Condemnation
Tuesday Nov 15, 2016
Tuesday Nov 15, 2016
Have you ever done something wrong and immediately felt horrible about it? This feeling is okay. It's called a conviction. This is a beautiful, gentle, nudge of the Holy Spirit correcting you.
The difference between a conviction and condemnation is if you dwell on how wrong you are for a lengthy period of time. God immediately forgave you the second you messed up. Why can't you forgive yourself?
Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do.

Faith or Fear?
Tuesday Nov 15, 2016
Tuesday Nov 15, 2016
Faith and fear BOTH require you to believe in something that hasn't even happened. So where do you stand? Is your faith in God, or do you find yourself quick to grow weary?
When you let fear take over, you are telling God you don't trust Him. Stand firmly on your faith today. Hebrews 11:1 says, "Faith is the substance of all things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

Tuesday Nov 15, 2016
Tuesday Nov 15, 2016
Do you wake up and immediately spend time with God, or do you jump on social media and skim through emails? Prayer is the best way to talk with God. Practice building a relationship with God by staying in constant communication with Him. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 reads, "Always be joyful. Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus."
If you have an extremely busy life, here are a couple ideas to help strengthen your prayer life:
* Sandwich Your Day- Start your day with prayer and end your day with prayer.
* Set Prayer Alarms- Designate certain times of the day that you want to intentionally stop down and prayer.
To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.
