Release and Receive

Daily Devotion:

 

God is trying to bless you, but you're holding onto other things so tightly that there's no room to receive.  What areas in your life do you need to clean out?  Let go of it all!! In order to truly receive, you must be ready to release. 

Luke 6:38, "Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back."

Each day holds a surprise. But only if we expect it can we see, hear, or feel it when it comes to us. Let's not be afraid to receive each day's surprise, whether it comes to us as sorrow or as joy It will open a new place in our hearts, a place where we can welcome new friends and celebrate more fully our shared humanity.

Praise Him for the Detour

Daily Devotion:

 

Detours may feel like a huge inconvenience. They take you out of your way. They're typically unexpected, and there's no upfront reason for the change in the first place. Detours of life are God's way of redirecting your path. Thank God for every detour instead of getting frustrated. It may be a set up for something greater. 


Proverbs 119: 105, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."

I think that you have to believe in your destiny; that you will succeed, you will meet a lot of rejection and it is not always a straight path, there will be detours - so enjoy the view.

Dancing With God

Do you ever find yourself going to God with your hopes and dreams, then wondering why they haven't come to pass?  God's plans for our lives are so much bigger than our own.  Sometimes, we spend way too much time going to God with our ambitions. What God is really saying is, "Be patient I have an even bigger plan for you."
