What baggage are you holding onto?  Some of us walk around tired, sad and depressed, but many times, it's because we can't let go of our past.  Your past is behind you for a reason. Now it's up to you to leave it there. Don't walk around holding onto past hurt.  Today, let it go!  Forgive and be free.  


Philippians 3:13-14, "No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."

Many times we hide behind our profile pictures, fancy cars and flashy lifestyles when really, we're hurting inside.  The beautiful part about God is, He loves you just the way you are.  You don't have to hide from God.  Come to God with transparency, openness, and truth. You are absolutely, beautiful in His eyes.  


Jeremiah 1:5, "“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

Unwrap Your Gift

Daily Devotion:

Just like receiving a gift on your birthday, the first thing you do is unwrap the gift to first see what it is, and secondly, you immediately try to use it.  We all have a gift inside of us.  It's no good to you or anyone else if you don't unwrap your gift.  More importantly, make sure that you use your gift.  Many times, we are so busy worrying about what we do not have, rather than focussing our time and efforts on what God has graced us with already.  Walk in your gift!

1 Peter 4:10, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."

Your talent is God's gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.

Hod Deep Are Your Roots?

Daily Devotion:

 

The deeper your roots travel into the dirt, the less you are affected by the storms of life.  If you have shallow roots you can easily be swayed by the winds, and rain.  In order to grow deeper roots, you must first answer, "what am I rooted in?"  The Bible teaches us to be rooted and grounded in God's word.  This is how you will gain strength for life and grow in your faith. 


Psalms 1, "But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do."

Consider a tree for a moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don't see what goes on underground - as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don't see the roots. We just see and enjoy the beauty. In much the same way, what goes on inside of us is like the roots of a tree.

Haters Will Hate...

"Haters Gone Hate, Read Proverbs 9:8." It rhymes! This is a great lesson for all of us to keep in mind.  There will be people in your life that do not understand you or your walk with Christ. However, it is our job to live as Christ-like as possible.  Walk in love.  Show love.  Give love. Be the light that shines in a dark room.

Ready to Fight?

Daily Devotion:

 

Face it, some of us just plan to fail without ever giving life a real try. There's a builder in the Netherlands constructing a house called, the prenuptial house.  This house will separate and literally drift apart down the stream once the family decides to get a divorce.


Today, we want to remind you to fight.  Fight for more, fight for your purpose, fight for passion and to live out your destiny.  Don't be quick to throw in the towel.  Get out of that sinking sand and stand firm on the foundation of the Lord.  Anything that's worth fighting for in life deserves all of you.

Lean on Faith

Faith is believing in the unseen while trusting in God.  Where is your faith today?  Remember, "faith" is an action word.  It's something you must believe and do, no matter how your circumstances may look.  Stand on faith and trust in God,  today and everyday!

How Do You Bless God?

We were created to "Rejoice" in the Lord, always.  God inhabits the praises of His people.  The more we praise God and lift Him up, the more we bless Him.  When we're going through good times or bad times, we need to "Rejoice."  Give God your best praise right now!



Philippians 4:4, "Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!"

If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive.
